STEPS TO BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
1. Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Orientation Class prior to doing any work with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County.
** Volunteer Orientations are held the THIRD Saturday of every month at 3 pm, barring holiday weekends, at our Executive Offices (click for directions)**
Orientations last roughly 40 minutes, depending on the inquisitive nature of the group. The purpose of this orientation is to acclimate you to the Habitat environment before setting foot on a work site.
2. Once your orientation is completed, you will need to FULLY complete the Online Volunteer Registration Form. Your information will be verified by Habitat personnel and approved if an orientation was attended.
3. Upon approval, you will then be able to LOG IN through our website using your e-mail and a self-assigned password and sign-up for upcoming events.
4. Volunteers signing up for an event are on a first come, first served basis. If you view an upcoming event you wish to attend, RSVP using your log-in.
**It is important to only RSVP for events you can ABSOLUTELY attend.**
5. Finally, have FUN!! Working side-by-side with the future home owners is a unique feeling unto itself. Where else can you volunteer, then return years later to see the fruits of your labor? Only with Habitat!
